lately, i've been into trying to collect cds after getting a cool player from a thrift store. i got sade greatest hits and this smashing pumpkins perfect ep at a local media store.

Wednesday was my certified favorite band of 2025 and one of the best shows i went to last year. Karly, the front, is insanely talented and gets a lot of inspiration from personal experience and southern americana (specifically NC) which i love. "countrygaze" is my new favorite genre. favorite songs inclde: bull believer, november, formula one, and burned down dairy queen. this month i also found their first album and ep on youtube and it was cool seeing their sound change from the beginning. i've been listening to posion ivy from the ep!

top album of jan was probaby "we have the facts and we are voting yes" by death cab for cutie that came out in 2000. i read a review that it perfectly encapsulated "post-collegiate gloom" which is fitting. fav tracks are: title track and employment pages.

some notable songs ive been listening to on this months playlists are: think long by mates of state, hit the ground running by smog, and the one to wait by ccfx.
